Discussion Topic
Join Women & Hi Tech and one of our founding members, Joyce Boadt, for a monthly discussion group to provide a forum to bring together women (and men) to talk about topics of interest. There will be two meetings a month to accommodate as many schedules as possible. She will also be supplementing the meetings with a blog, so that everyone can participate in the discussions, even if only virtually. This also opens up the forum, beyond Indianapolis.
This month our Discussion Group will focus on the topic of Women and Leadership. I want the conversation to focus on leadership strategies for women. I want to move beyond talking about the “glass ceiling” and other barriers. Let’s move beyond that and talk about what we can do to set ourselves up for leadership. We’ll use the Fast Company Article Women and Men, Work and Power http://www.fastcompany.com/node/33732/print to get the conversation started.

I'd also like to invite you to join the new Women & Hi Tech Network site http://wahtnetwork.ning.com/ My goal is to make this a place for everyone to continue networking outside of the meetings. We're adding new members and new content regularly. We have at least one member who's started a blog on the site, and you can too. The great thing about a community site is we all create the content.
